02.06.12PresentationsNext week will be big. There will be two presentations of the courses I held at the University of the Arts Berlin. The design-basics course will give its presentation on monday morning starting around 11am. The topic of this term was to create tools for uncommon matters with the focus on mating and related behaviour. 01.27.12Form inspires FunctionSome late update on my workshop at the Muthesius Art College in Kiel. I was invited to hold a one week workshop during the Forum, an interdisciplinary working week. For the workshop I was able to recruit students from free art, industrial design and spatial strategies. The task was to question the form follows function principle and developing it towards a "form inspires function" paradigma. Basicly it´s time to rethink this, anyway. 01.27.12Listen to my RadioLast march, yes last years march, I held a one day workshop with pupils from the Berggruen Highschool in Berlin. I got support from the students Katharina Bredies, Amelie Hinrichsen and Fynn Freyschmidt to host two 12th grade classes in one big room at the university of the arts Berlin. The kids were invited by their arts teacher to design a radio that only plays one station, the designers favorite station. In the end the radios had to display the characteristics of the owner and his or her favorite station through their material, colour and shape. Tricky task for the ...

06.21.11Space to Space LectureI am invited to give a talk about the space to space paradigm at the Muthesius Art College in Kiel Germany. This talk will feature plenty projects that link between spatial input and spatial output. Few of these projects are well known, some are surprisngly new and one or two are by myself. The book features all the projects and workshops that took place during the whole term, including the processing and arduino workshop. 07.19.10Rapid UP presentationHere are some snapshots from the groundation course presentation of this years summer term. The students were up to design an object that rises as high as possible from a one square meter plane of ply wood. The results were quite mingled but over all good. It is still not easy to learn how to make a moodboard, learn two different CAD softwares such as solid works and rhino with grasshopper in one time, plus a CAM software to mill the design afterwards. 07.13.10Rundgang 2010I cordially invite you to the UdK Rundgang of this summer term at the upcoming weekend . There will be two foundation course projects to be seen that I hosted this year and several other interesting objects, installations and performances. The Rapid Up and Rapid Volume project were about to learn CAD/CAM techniques at our milling machine and CNC laser router. You will find the project results at the faculty of design in the rooms 116a/117.
