01.27.12Form inspires FunctionSome late update on my workshop at the Muthesius Art College in Kiel. I was invited to hold a one week workshop during the Forum, an interdisciplinary working week. For the workshop I was able to recruit students from free art, industrial design and spatial strategies. The task was to question the form follows function principle and developing it towards a "form inspires function" paradigma. Basicly it´s time to rethink this, anyway. 01.27.12Forschungsforum - MAPMy talk at the Unversity of the Arts Forschungsforum / research forum felt quite good and was fitting well to the other speakers. I was ping-ponging the talk with Axel Kufus and talked mainly about the trans-verse design process of the SMSlingshot and the results of the Forum Workshop I held at the Muthesius Art College last december. Thanks to Masen Khattab and Susanne Hauser for preparing the forum and the other speakers for the inspiring talks. 01.12.12Forschungsforum 2012After two years of not participating at the Research Forum of the University of the Arts Berlin I will hold a lecture together with Prof. Axel Kufus. Our topic will be the value of prototyping in experimental design processes and feature work samples of our students, ourselves and best practices. The focus is more on poetic and semantic realm and less on a pragmatic level. The whole show starts 9.30 am and lasts until 7.00 pm. We enter the stage around 2.30 pm. It all takes place at Hardenbergstraße 33 in Berlin. See you there!

10.27.11Workshop for Riga 2014Together with Nadia Pantel, i headed to Riga/Latvia to give a workshop on urban interventions using light. Fion Dobbin put together a crew of young emerging artists containing beside Nadia and me, Christina Kral, Kasper König, Voldemars Dudums and Gatis Mūrniek. First day we´ve had a top secret jury meeting for projects concerning Riga as cultural capital in 2014. After that we went out for a drift through Riga, researching and documenting spots that are suitable for light interventions. 07.07.11Fusion Workshop revisitedBack from this rough week, first Grenoble, then Kiel, after that suicide commando towards spare time utopia fusionfestival I find some time to put up some impressions of the DIY VJ workshop. We had the luck to catch at least some hours of no rain to set up our van as a makeshift canvas and the overheads and slideshow projectors. A lot of people stopped by to try their luck in creating rotated and shifted interferences. 06.21.11Space to Space LectureI am invited to give a talk about the space to space paradigm at the Muthesius Art College in Kiel Germany. This talk will feature plenty projects that link between spatial input and spatial output. Few of these projects are well known, some are surprisngly new and one or two are by myself. 12.03.10From Palma to EindhovenThis was a week. I accompanied the SMSlingshot through europe, starting in Palma de Mallorcas Contemporary Art Museum, where we showcased our work and held a talk about our "Act on hybrid Estates". The talk was extended with a short summary of the design process of the SMSlingshot. Pau Waelder held the introduction showing some very interesting, and some well known projects of digital art in public space. His resulting article can be seen here.
