01.27.12Listen to my RadioLast march, yes last years march, I held a one day workshop with pupils from the Berggruen Highschool in Berlin. I got support from the students Katharina Bredies, Amelie Hinrichsen and Fynn Freyschmidt to host two 12th grade classes in one big room at the university of the arts Berlin. The kids were invited by their arts teacher to design a radio that only plays one station, the designers favorite station. 10.27.11VR/urban must be trippin´#4Just briefly. While spreading the word in Brussels the rest of the VR/urban crew went to Marsatac festival in Marseille. There is less to say from my side, but one thing the guys said, that it was the biggest show we ever had. It felt like thousand people were grasping for the SMSlingshots and all night was full traffic.

Again early out, bus, airport, train, taxi, hotel, bar, backstage, projector guys, setting up, managing the sitespecific errors, having everything run and starting to dring more beer. Please believe me, this is the best that can happen: creating something interactive that brings you around the world to meet people, see different cities and habits and drink all variations of alcoholic beverage. Thanks to Adrian, Remco and Stacie for all the support during and beside the show. After a breathtaking redesign process of the SMSlingshot (now more, smaller, lighter, easy to recharge via usb, all 3D scanned branches, all one-shot-cnc-milled and lasered...) we hit the road to play some festivals all over europe. First we went to INCUBATE festival in Tilburg/Holland, that is organized and set up by nearly the same guys doing strp festival in Eindhoven. The SMSlingshot is part of the Talk to Me exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The show is curated by Paola Antonelli and lasts until the 7th of November. 06.30.11Waiting for the night (to fall)Just a few quick impressions of our SMSlingshot performance in Grenoble. PLAY-IN is such a recommendable small, familiar, beautiful and stress-less digital public media festival: UNBELIEVABLE. Such a warm and professional athmosphere. We´ve been showcasing the SMSlingshot alongside projects by Cran (so poetic) and WECOMEINPEACE, who had set up a perfect pubic kinect hack. All our massive thanks go out to Mathias Perrette who was keeping all strings in hand, Toma, Claire, Raf, Pauline, Chloe, Yannis, Amèl... the whole Narkolepsy crew! See you soon!

05.10.11Sketching in Space in DresdenThe Sketching in Space project has been exhibited in my alma mater in Dresden during an exposition on the function of design in cooperative processes. Boscij Piatza and Alexander Müller, two students from the university redesigned the sketching tools and helped to set up the objects for the exhibition. Currently the both work intensively with the Fraunhofer Institute Berlin to advance the sketching application towards better integration in design processes! I will keep you updated on the progress!
