04.21.10…Grab what they canThe SMSlingshot won the second prize at the Art of Engineering Award. We´ve been to Hannover Industry fair where the award was handed over. Strange situation, strange show, strange people but now we can go on in redesigning the installation and performance tools. Thanks to the LabBinaer guys for having so much fun anyway.

04.08.10Urban InterventionsDie Gestalten Publishers released a book on private projects in public space and feature the SMSlingshot I realized with the VR/Urban team the last year. It´s cool to see how things evolve and an audience is appreciating our work. We are positioned right between GRL and Haque design+research, some of my all time heroes. 02.09.10…it´s a competitive worldSomehow the SMSlingshot has been selected as one of the winners at the Art of Engineering Award. Beside 20 other projects the SMSlingshot is exhibited till the 15th of february at the "Deutsche Technik Museum" in Berlin.

We arrived yesterday, had a first testscreening + some serious drinking and prepare now everything for the night. 01.08.09sketching in space. it´s goingWOW. The students of the industrial design department do a really good job in sketching spatial, refining meshes to NURBS and rapid manufacturing. The resulting designs are overall impressing and for that short period of time (only 5 days) even more respectable. Tomorrow there will be an intern presentation of the designs in the CAVE at the Fraunhofer Institute.
