We arrived yesterday, had a first testscreening + some serious drinking and prepare now everything for the night. 01.08.09sketching in space. it´s goingWOW. The students of the industrial design department do a really good job in sketching spatial, refining meshes to NURBS and rapid manufacturing. The resulting designs are overall impressing and for that short period of time (only 5 days) even more respectable. Tomorrow there will be an intern presentation of the designs in the CAVE at the Fraunhofer Institute. 01.03.09sketching in space. lets goOn monday I will start a short term project with industrial design students of the college of fine arts berlin. The aim is to conceptualize, sketch and design a pendant light in a virtual-spatial environment. It will take place in the CAVE at Fraunhofer Institute Berlin and last till friday. The students will sketch virtually, refine the meshes and NURBS in Rhino4 and then print via various rapidprototyping techniques. We will present the results on friday next week. 11.21.08Bianca Regl Publication out nowYesterday evening, the new catalogue of Bianca Regl has been presented at the Lukas Feichtner Gallery in Vienna. The book shows works of the austrian painter Bianca Regl from 2004 till 2008 and contains three additional texts by Hans-Peter Wipplinger and Günther Holler Schuster. There is as well an interview featured with Bianca Regl, held by the american artist James Krone. The book comes with 210 pages, CMYK. On the pages that contain text, Bianca Regl intervenes with personal, handwritten notes in one certain partial UV lacquer, which is silkscreen printed.
